I started formulating natural body care and household cleaning products over a decade ago. I made them purely to avoid harmful chemicals and for my personal use.

While working for an international organic skincare brand a few years later I realised that natural skincare was not just about avoiding harmful chemicals, but that it was a far superior option in terms of nourishing our skin. I learned about the many benefits of our own African plants and began using them in my products.

Recast is a reflection of my life and my skincare routine. I don’t believe good skin comes from a cabinet full of products, I don’t like complicated skincare routines, and I like to understand an ingredient list when I read it.

I know that Earth and all her inhabitants are one living organism, and that we cannot exploit or harm one part of it without hurting ourselves too. I use raw ingredients, sourced ethically and where possible only from Africa.

My products are vegan and not tested on anyone other than my friends and family.
